Speaker Series #8

On October 30th, we welcomed our special guests Noel Kirthiraj and moderator Ashwini Vasanth for our 8th speaker series! We can't believe we have already done 8 sessions so far. We are incredibly grateful for your support and interest on the journey to make tech knowledge more accessible.

In this session, Noel and Ashwini will break down the significance of corporate vs. business development. They'll be chatting about their respective experiences in corporate, and building companies from the ground up.

Noel is the CEO of maajja, a company he co-founded with the legendary A.R Rahman with a vision of creating music as a stand alone industry for South Asians. As a technology-enabled label alternative, maajja's mission is to empower the next generation of South Asian artists with complete creative control and resources to attain global reach.

As a curious entrepreneur and investor, Noel has incubated and worked with many early stage technology companies out of Toronto, Canada, including serving as the CEO of a deep tech company he built to serve multiple verticals. He's also been responsible for building and scaling large cross-functional teams within multinational corporations such as Motorola, Google and Lenovo, where he built a career over 15+ years in various leadership roles.

Moderating this conversation, we have Ashwini who is a passionate Software Engineer with 17 years of experiencing building products in established companies as well as startups in the areas of networking, security, mobile phones and Developer CRM. After 5 years at Nutanix, converting an idea into a product and witnessing successful customer adoption, she recently joined an early stage startup https://devrev.ai/, working on a product to bring developers closer to revenue. She hosts a podcast called Through the Corporate Glass to help listeners make better career choices!
