On August 28th, we had the pleasure of having Mohan Markandaier, Managing Partner at Good News Ventures join us on a conversation on how to "Raise Capital", moderated by Anjalee Narenthiren.
Good News Ventures is a pre seed/seed stage Venture Capital firm based in Toronto and investing in high growth technology companies. Over the past 4 years, Good News Ventures has invested in over 30 companies with a few early successful exits. Mohan is a serial entrepreneur with multiple successful exits. He co-founded his first company Pulse Voice in the Telecom software space which was later acquired by Enghouse in 2009.
Anjalee is the 18-year-old Founder of Startup Dojo and host of the Young at Heart Show. MyStartupDojo.com is an academy for teen entrepreneurs that helps high school students build real businesses.
Anjalee is also an International VEX Robotics Champion, having beat over 20,000 teams in two consecutive years. She also founded her first startup, techexplore, at age 15. Her work as a high school entrepreneur was featured in prominent publications like the Toronto Star and Thompson Reuters' HR Reporter. Currently she is enrolled at the Jerome Fischer M&T Program at The University of Pennsylvania starting in 2021 – pursuing a double degree with the Wharton School Of Business and Penn School of Engineering.
